February - May is high flow season.
The falls are at full flow and the spray can obscure views. It is wet season so you may experience rainfall. The landscape and bush are lush and green, hard to spot game.
June - August is medium flow season. If you're a first timer this is the best time to visit.
This is peak tourist season with excellent flow over the falls and stunning views. Cool and dry weather with little chance of rainfall. Best all round time to visit we advise booking activities in advance.
September - November is low flow season.
There is reduced flow over the falls leading to clearer views of the rock face and gorge. Great time of year to photograph the falls structure. This is the hottest time of the year, especially October, come prepared for temperatures reaching 35°C+. Good time of year for spotting game.
December - January is low flow season
Marking the beginning of the rainy season there are less tourists and you're more likely to find accommodation deals. Clear views with little to no haze from the falls.
We recommend a minimum of 2 - 3 days. This gives you ample time to take in the magnificence of Victoria Falls, enjoy the adrenaline enalin rush of a few gorge activities and even have time to take a leisurely float down the Zambezi River!
Whether you choose to stay for a day or for longer, our reservations team will be happy to help you plan an itinerary to fit your budget, timeline and needs.
