Shoestrings is located just 1.2km (or 0.75 miles) from the Victoria Falls forest walk entrance. Walking: 15-20 minutes Drive: 3-5 minutes To Town: 5 - 10 minute walk We are in a prime location. Close enough to walk to the falls and far enough to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.

Victoria Falls airport is approximately 20km (12 miles) from Shoestrings. Your options include: 1. Pre-arranged transfer - email us at res@shoestringsvicfalls.com (mailto:res@shoestringsvicfalls.com)with your flight details and we can arrange a pick up. Please note that pricing is usually per vehicle and not per person. 2. Taxi at the airport - taxis are available outside arrivals. They should cost between USD $25-$30. Make sure you agree upon a price before departure. Travel time is about 30 minutes.

Yes, Victoria Falls is generally safe during the day. However we recommend following the below guidelines: • Daytime: Anywhere in town and the walk to the falls is safe. Stick to main roads. • Night time: we do not recommend walking after dark for two reasons • Wildlife frequently enters the town at night • Limited street lighting in some areas We can make arrangements for taxis/transfers for evening outings. Our on site bar and independant restaurant (Basalt) ensure you dont need to leave the property for entertainment!
